Head of Girls Boarding Residence

Newtown School invites applications for the position of Head of Girls Boarding Residence.

The Head of Girls Boarding Residence is a residential position. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the running of all aspects of Girls boarding in the school, under the direction of the Principal and in accordance with the ethos of the school.

Essential qualities will include the ability:
•    to work as part of a team,
•    to lead, manage and organise the day to day running of the Girls Boarding Residence, and
•    to engage and work with young people in a variety of roles.

Applicants should ideally possess appropriate qualifications or experience in teaching, counselling or other related areas. Experience which would contribute to other areas of the school community would be desirable.

Irish and Accountancy


Newtown School, Waterford invites applications from suitably qualified teachers of Irish and Accountancy, to Leaving Certificate levels, to provide cover for a Maternity leave starting November 2nd, 2009. An ability to contribute to extracurricular activities is desirable. Residential available if preferred.
